What to do

Check whether your hotel is near a limousine bus stop before you land. If it is, the bus takes you there with your bags and no transfers, which is the main reason to choose it over the train. At the airport, buy a ticket at the bus ticket office or kiosk, then wait at the stop printed for your route.

Several companies run airport buses into Seoul, each with its own routes and fares. This guide uses K Airport Limousine, whose English site lists routes, stops and fares in one place. For trains and taxis, see Incheon Airport to Seoul.

How much is the limousine bus?

The K Airport Limousine fare from Incheon Airport to downtown Seoul is ₩18,000 for adults. Children aged 6 to 12 pay ₩12,000. The same fares apply on all four daytime routes and on night routes N6701 and N6703.

K Airport Limousine accepts credit cards and transit cards such as T-money. The company notes that it can give a receipt for T-money payments but not for credit card payments.

Where do I buy a ticket?

At Terminal 1, the K Airport Limousine ticket office is inside the arrivals hall next to Gate 4, with kiosks both inside and outside the building. Incheon Airport also lists bus ticket booths inside next to exits 4 and 9, and outside near exits 4, 6, 7, 8, 11 and 13.

At Terminal 2, buy your ticket at the west ticket offices or kiosks in the B1 transportation center. Incheon Airport places the Seoul, Gyeonggi and intercity buses on that same basement level.

For buses leaving Incheon Airport, K Airport Limousine asks you to buy the ticket before boarding, because seats are managed through its reservation system. Do this first, then go to the stop.

Where do I board?

The boarding stop depends on your terminal:

Terminal Floor K Airport Limousine stops Ticket office
Terminal 1 1F (arrivals level) 3B and 4A Inside, next to Gate 4, plus kiosks
Terminal 2 B1 (transportation center) 18 and 19 West ticket offices and kiosks

At Terminal 1, the airport’s floor map groups Seoul buses around exits 3 to 7 on the first floor. At Terminal 2, look for signs to the transportation center on the B1 level.

Which route should I take?

K Airport Limousine runs four daytime routes into Seoul. Pick the one that stops closest to your hotel, then check the full stop list on the route page.

Route Area Example stops Every First and last from T1 First and last from T2
6701 City Hall, Gwanghwamun Plaza Hotel, Euljiro 1-ga Station, Myeongdong, Gongdeok Station 25 to 35 min 05:35 to 22:25 05:15 to 22:05

On every route, the Terminal 2 times are 20 minutes earlier than the Terminal 1 times. Travel time into the city depends on traffic, and the operator does not publish a fixed figure.

What if I land late at night?

Route 6705A has the latest daytime departure, at 23:15 from Terminal 1. After that, K Airport Limousine runs two night routes: N6703 toward Gangnam and Jamsil (from 23:40 at Terminal 1) and N6701 toward central Seoul north of the river (from 23:50 at Terminal 1).

N6703 leaves Terminal 1 from 23:40 to 04:50 and Terminal 2 from 23:20 to 04:30, every 40 to 120 minutes. Its drop-off stops are Seorae Village Entrance, COEX East Gate, Jamsil Lotte World Hotel, Dongseoul Bus Terminal and Gwangnaru Station.

N6701 stops include Dongdaemun Design Plaza, Euljiro 1-ga Station, Seoul Station and Mapo Station. N6701 leaves Terminal 1 from 23:50 to 04:40 and Terminal 2 from 23:30 to 04:20, with long gaps between buses.

Incheon Airport lists other Seoul late-night routes from Terminal 1, boarding at stops 3B and 6A on the first floor:

Night route Destination Adult fare Child fare
N6000 Gangnam Express Bus Terminal ₩17,000 ₩10,000
N6002 Cheongnyangni ₩18,000 ₩12,000
N6701 Dongdaemun Design Plaza ₩18,000 ₩12,000
N6703 Gwangnaru Station ₩18,000 ₩12,000

Common mistakes

  • Going straight to the stop without a ticket. From Incheon Airport, K Airport Limousine wants you to buy at the ticket office or kiosk first.
  • Looking for the bus on the wrong floor. At Terminal 1 the stops are on 1F, but at Terminal 2 they are in the B1 transportation center.
  • Missing the last daytime bus. Route 6701 leaves Terminal 1 for the last time at 22:25, much earlier than 6705A. Check your route’s last bus against your landing time plus immigration and baggage.
  • Assuming one company covers every hotel. Other operators run their own airport buses with different routes and fares. If your hotel is not on these four routes, search the Incheon Airport bus pages for your area.

When this does not apply

If you fly into Gimpo Airport, the subway is usually simpler; see Gimpo Airport to Seoul. If your hotel is near a subway or AREX station rather than a bus stop, the train is cheaper and you can change lines with the Seoul subway. Routes, fares and timetables change, so check the operator’s page before you fly.

Questions people also ask

Can I pay on the bus with a card?

K Airport Limousine accepts credit cards and transit cards such as T-money, tapped when you board. For departures from Incheon Airport, though, the company asks you to buy a ticket at a booth or kiosk first because seats are handled through its reservation system.

Which route goes to Myeongdong?

Route 6701 (City Hall and Gwanghwamun) stops in Myeongdong, at the Aloft Seoul and Le Meridien stop, and near City Hall and Euljiro 1-ga Station. Route 6702 covers Namsan and Dongdaemun.

Is there a limousine bus after midnight?

Yes. Night route N6703 leaves Terminal 1 between 23:40 and 04:50 toward Gangnam and Jamsil, and N6701 leaves between 23:50 and 04:40 toward central Seoul, both at the same ₩18,000 adult fare. Incheon Airport lists other Seoul night routes too, such as N6000 to the Gangnam Express Bus Terminal.

Do children ride free?

K Airport Limousine charges ₩12,000 for children aged 6 to 12. The fare page does not list a price for younger children, so ask at the ticket office.
